The Laboratory was organized in 1984.
Research area.
Experimental investigation and mathematical modelling of combustion processes in condensed systems. Development of modern methods of combustion diagnostics.
1. A complex for recording non-stationary combustion characteristics, including a neodymium laser, a special sensor of microforce, and a controlling computer.
2. A set-up for dynamic visualization of combustion processes with the help of digital video camera recorders (150 – 5000 f/s).
3. A set-up for the microwave (30-140 gHz) measurement of non-stationary combustion rate.
4. A set-up to investigate condensed products formed in the combustion of metal-containing fuel at a pressure up to 100 atm and within the particle size range from 1 to 1000 micrometers.
