The Voevodsky Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion SB RAS will host the 9th International Seminar on Flame Structure (July 10-14, 2017) to be held in Novosibirsk. It is organized together with the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS, Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS, Institute of Hydrodynamics SB RAS, Boreskov Institute of Catalysis SB RAS, Institute for Problems of Chemical & Energetic Technologies SB RAS, and the Novosibirsk State University. The seminar will be held under the aegis of the Combustion Institute and of its Russian section.

The objective of the Seminar is to provide an international forum to discuss the state-of-the-art achievements and perspectives in experimental and computational studies of the structure of laminar and turbulent flames, the flame propagation velocity, flammability limits, as well as applied aspects of this area of science.
It is planned to hold a contest of presentations among young scientists. The winners will be awarded.

BACKGROUND
The Seminar is considered as continuation of eight preceding workshops on flame structure: the All-Union Workshop on Structure of Gaseous Flames, Novosibirsk, 1983; the International Workshop on Structure of Gaseous Flames, Novosibirsk, 1986; the Third International Seminar on Flame Structure, Alma-Ata, 1989; the Fourth International Seminar on Flame Structure, Novosibirsk, 1992, Fifth International Seminar on Flame Structure, Novosibirsk, 2005, the Sixth International Seminar on Flame Structure in Brussels 2008, Seventh International Seminar on Flame Structure, Novosibirsk, 2011, and the Eighth International Seminar on Flame Structure, Berlin, 2014.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE
The official language of the Seminar will be English.

Abstract template and registration form can be downloaded here.

PUBLICATION
Full text papers would be published as proceedings of the 9th ISFS in digital form. Chosen papers would be published in special issue of "Combustion, explosion and shock waves" peer-reviewed journal. Paper format should be the same as defined in requirements for "Combustion, explosions and shock waves" publications. Paper size is limited to 20000 symbols.
Guidelines and requirements for publication in coference proceedings can be downloaded here.
